Pony Sales
Waireka Polo always has a selection of experienced polo ponies for sale. We offer the opportunity to try these horses throughout the New Zealand summer and can run chukkas if you wish. We can also organise appropriate transport and vet testing.
We strongly recommend that players come and try the horses at Waireka to really get a feel for the horse before you make this important investment.

Kokito is a strong and athletic mare suitable for beginners right up to the most experienced players. She is safe, quiet, has a good mouth and is an excellent horse on the field. She was played at the first high goal test match in Christchurch between New Zealand and Coronel Suarez Argentina by Benjamin Araya (5 goals, Argentina).

Margot is a tough little pony who is very handy and experienced. She is suitable up to medium goal polo and can be ridden by both beginners and experieced players.
Name: Bonita
Sex: Mare
Age: 7
Height: 15.1 hh
Bonita is a small, strong and athletic mare. She is incredibly handy and powerful at the same time. Although quiet, she is more suitable for experienced players. She was also played in the first high goal test match at Christchurch between New Zealand and Coronel Suarez Argentina by Mito Goti (7 goals, Argentina) and was favoured so much that he requested she play 3 half chukkas. The sky is the limit with this pony with the right player to take her there.
